Andrew Pardey – Non-Executive Chair
Andrew is a geologist with more than 30 years of experience; he was the former CEO of Centamin where he led the construction and operation of the Tier-1 450kozpa Sukari Gold mine in Egypt. He also held senior management roles at the AngloGold-Ashanti Siguiri Mine and Nordgold Lefa Mine, both located within Guinea’s Siguiri Basin, which also hosts PDI’s Bankan Project.
Matthew Wilcox – Managing Director and CEO
Matthew is an experienced mining professional with a strong track record of building mines in West Africa including WAF’s Sanbrado project, and Nordgold’s Bissa, Bouly, and LEFA gold projects. He is the former CEO and COO of Tietto Minerals, having overseen construction of the Abujar Gold Mine in Côte d’Ivoire before joining Robex in 2024.
Alain William – Executive Director, Chief Government Relations and Legal Officer
Alain has 25+ years’ experience in capital markets and has served as CFO of Robex for the past three years, also overseeing stakeholder engagement.
Simon Jackson – Lead Independent Non-Executive Director
Simon is a chartered accountant with 25+ years’ experience in the management of resource companies, particularly in Africa, including Red Back Mining, which developed and operated two gold mines in West Africa before a C$9.3 billion takeover by Kinross Gold in 2010. He then founded Orca Gold, which discovered the Block 14 gold project in Sudan and was acquired by Perseus Mining in 2022.
Steven Michael – Non-Executive Director
Steven has 25+ years of professional and corporate experience at global finance leaders Rothschild, Macquarie Bank and RBC, in financial advisory and investment banking. He was previously Managing Director of FTI Consulting, Red Hawk Mining and ASX-listed Vimy Resources and Executive Director at Deep Yellow (ASX: DYL).
Alberto Lavandeira – Non-Executive Director
Alberto is a mining engineer with 45+ years of experience operating and developing mining projects. He is CEO and Executive Director of LSE listed copper producer Atalaya Mining, overseeing the 15Mtpa Riotinto copper operation in Spain. Previously, he was President, CEO and COO of Rio Narcea Gold Mines which built three mines in Mauritania.
Howard Golden – Non-Executive Director
Howard is a mining executive with 40 years’ global experience across six continents. He led major projects at Syama, Oyu Tolgoi, Agbaou, West Musgrave, and served as GM Exploration at Rio Tinto.
Justin Rivers – Chief Exploration Officer
20+ years in mineral exploration and project development across Africa, Australia and other global jurisdictions. Senior roles include Head of Geology at Lithium Universe and Executive Director/CEO at Convertible Resources Ltd, with extensive international operational, technical and corporate experience.
Ross McLean – Chief Financial Officer
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with 15+ years in mining and energy finance experience across Africa and Australia including 5+ years in Gabon as Finance and Administration Director for Assala Energy (Carlyle Group).
Clinton Bennett – Chief Operating Officer
Clinton has more than 25 years professional expertise in technical and leadership roles with various mining companies (BHP, Endeavour Mining, Nordgold etc.)
Dimitrios Felekis – Chief Development Officer
Dimitrios has more than 20 years’ experience in project and design management in West Africa. He was Project & Design Manager for Tietto’s Abujar development project, worked for Lycopodium on Nordgold’s Bissa project and on Endeavour’s Agbaou project.
Gwendal Bonno – Chief Human Resources Officer
Gwendal has 15+ experience HR in mining industry in West Africa and Europe including as Group HR Manager at Assala Energy, Nordgold and ArcelorMittal Mining Algeria.
